Refunds and Guarantees

Everything Play Based Piano sells is digital. There is nothing to ship back, so these are the terms in plain language.

The 30-day guarantee on memberships

If a Play Based Piano membership is not right for your family, email us within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund what you paid, in full.

  • You do not have to explain why, though we would like to know.
  • Keep anything you have already printed or downloaded. We are not going to ask for it back and we have no way to take it back.
  • Refunds go to the card you paid with. Our payment processor usually takes 5 to 10 business days to return the money, which is outside our control.
  • Your access to the members’ area ends when the refund is issued.
  • This applies to your first purchase of a membership, not to each renewal.

Songbooks and other one-off digital products

Songbooks and similar single-purchase PDFs are refundable for 30 days on the same terms: email us, get your money back, keep the file.

Cancelling a membership

You can cancel at any time from your account page, or by emailing us.

  • Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not refund payments already taken, except under the 30-day guarantee above.
  • You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • You keep every file you downloaded while you were a member, for your own family, forever. You lose access to the members’ area, to Alexis AI, and to anything released after you leave.
  • Founding members: if you cancel, the founding price goes with it. Rejoining later means joining at whatever the price is then.

How to ask

Email support@playbasedpiano.com from the address you signed up with, and say what you want: a refund, or to cancel. We read every message and we answer every one. We are two people rather than a support desk, so give us a few days.

If something has gone wrong with a payment, tell us before you dispute it with your bank. We would rather fix it than argue about it.

Play Based Piano is operated by Decisive Marketing, a California corporation, of 25005 Blue Ravine Rd, Ste 110 #182, Folsom, CA 95630. These terms sit alongside our Terms of Service.
